With great effort Rodimus and Gorefoot are able to power their way through the door. The heavy slab of marble falls straight back away from them landing with a great crack!

The walls and ceiling of this barren stone room are built from massive marble blocks 10 feet wide and 8 feet tall. The walls are adorned with thousands of small glyphs carved into the marble, and the whole room is covered with dust. A human skeleton lies in the center of the room, clutching a dagger that has pierced its ribs roughly where the heart would be. Above the bones hovers a wispy human form. Light robes flutter around his thin frame and bare feet, and a tall rounded hat tops his head. Above a long mustache, his empty eyes reflect madness as he attacks.

[sblock=ooc]Gorefoot and Rodimus are in front of a 5' wide doorway into this room. Behind them are Nars, Percy, Nezrak, and Ishmael stretching down the corridor waiting for a chance to move in. The room is 30' square and the wraith is in the middle of the room.

Percy will try to move forward. If she can get a glimpse of the wraith, she'd lash out with her purple fire.

OOC: I have a tough time imagining that Gorefoot does anything other than charge and power attack for full with his greatsword. +7 to attack, 1d10+15 to damage.

Gorefoot charges the apparition, intent on ending the fight as quickly as possible.

[Round 1]

Gorefoot moves foreward with almost unnatural speed. His greatsword cuts a thick swath through the floating wraith. The creature cries out in anguish. The wraith's fingers reach deep into Gorefoot's chest, it's cold piercing grasp tightening around his heart. Flickers of shadowy faces whisp from Gorefoot. All look like vaguely like the halfling (some remind his long time companions of the old Gorefoot) and all look in pain.

Percy's purple fires strike the wraith. It's hand releases Gorefoot as it scream another unearthly howl. In a roil of shadow the creature dissipates leaving Gorefoot drained.

[sblock=ooc]okay that was quick. A big solid hit from Gorefoot that hit only by virtue of catching the wraith flat-footed (and passing the 50% miss chance), followed up by every incorporeal creature's worst nightmare ~ magic missile! Its not all great news though because Gorefoot just had 4 con drained.

Rodimus 26/42 remaining
Nars 21/24 remaining
Ishmael 9/50 remaining
Gorefoot 33/54 remaining (4 Con drain)[/sblock]

"Oh, Fondar!" Percy rushes forward and catches the barbarian. "What did that gross thing do to you? You were so brave!"

Once they get Gorefoot settled, Percy will look around. Anything besides a dagger? Are we done with this complex then?

Gorefoot lays on the ground, pale and shaky, but alive. Visions of the veil beyond death flit through his wide eyes before his breathing slows to a more regular pace.

OOC: Con drain? Ouch. I'm glad that fight didn't have to go on any longer. Guess I'll have to try and find a cleric that can restore that. :)

Percy looking around sees only the dagger, the skeleton, and the runes on the walls.

(ooc: Yup besides collecting your phat loot, and the money you make off it, thats it! congrats on plowing through that. There were a few tough encounters and as promised it was a long dungeon crawl, hope you all enjoyed it.)

"Let's gather all the treasure and pack it up in the wagon. We can spend one more night here, in the big room at the entry. Then tomorrow let's head back to Orussus. I think we've done a good job here. Hopefully some of this stuff will be useful to the sage, and if this Toth Nekamet character had any designs on innocent men, we may have put a stop to that. We should ask the libraian if he wants to return with us." says Percy.
