[sblock=ooc]This time I'm leaving Incarnation's post out on purpose to wait for Georg.[/sblock]
The Warden and Rurdev
The shifter is astounded at the speed and strength of the elder dragonborn. Even so, he quickly draws both axes and strikes out at The Warden with the flats of his blades. The elder quickly dodges one axe, but the other comes very much closer striking true, but the shifter pulls back at the last second, inflicting merely a tap with the flat of the blade. Even then, the skilled shifter knows that he was not far from a miss.
"F-F-First blood," he says and lowers his axes.
"Very well." Says the Dragonborn with a smile. He sheathes his sword. "I should have guessed you were so quick." He claps his hand on Rurdev's shoulder. "You did seem slightly unsure in your movements, new weapons?"
Dane and Dafnin
Dane follows Dafnin out of the camp. He feels a bit naked without his shield & axe in hand as he travels into the woods at night . . . sober. He tries to climb up the boulder but it takes him a couple times to get the proper footing before he makes it up to were Dafnin is resting. Looking over the vast clearing and his stomach flip-flops again. This time it is not the environment but the company.
Dane looks up at the stars and says, "Hmm, dem stars hard ta read. Maybes dem in elfin'. I can't her' dem say nothin' either. Wat does dem normally say?
"Well they say lots of things." Dafnin says as she moves close to Dane. She points with arm closest to him so her can easily follow the lines of her finger. "Some don't change much, showing histories long past. Some show us direction, acting as wayfarers to the Astral Heavens, others try and tell us what might become. I've spent my whole life trying to learn the language of the celestials."
She sighs and leans closer into Dane. "This pattern above us is new. It says. . ." and she seems to strain for a moment. "Trust in danger."
