[sblock=Georg and Incarnation]You both note the possibility of a Fibonacci wall pattern.

Fibonacci was of course an Imperium Arcanists who lived a number of centuries ago. His work was the basis for allot of ritualists after him.

His work is most useful on the very large scale, so it would make sense in this context. However, because of that fact as well, you both have very little practical experience with it, and most references you have seen to his work has been theoretical or anecdotal.

For a Dauntonian to enact such a pattern, they would have needed to gather instruction in another land or practiced a fair amount of experimentation.[/sblock]

Questioning the Seals

Incarnation nods at Georg's conjuncture. He releases the spirit making the map and turns to the others. Indeed, this marks the pattern spoken of by the Imperial arcanist. But these are thing no Dautonian would consider on their own without outside study or great genius. The Black was certainly the latter, but the sign does point to the underlying work to have been done elsewhere. He bows to the ones gathered, trying to unravel what has been discovered.

Hadrak around the camp fire

Time passes. Eventually, the warforged notices the gathering at the fire and Hadrak's camp. Incarnation takes a position at the edge of the light, he fiery gaze watching but not speaking.

Dane and Dafnin

Dane sneezes as Dafnin's hair tickles the fighters oversized, yet deformed nose. He wipes his nose with his beard. He continues in Dwarven.

Trust with who? I know Rurdev has trust issues. But he is a good man once that bond is forged.

After the reply, Dane continues with a follow-up question.

How did you meet with the Warden? It appears you and everybody else are together by purpose then by companionship. He seems like a very smart man. Did he teach you how to read the stars?

Around the Campfire

The Dragonborn doesn't respond to Raiyek's comment at first, though he does give a disbelieving look. Still though he listens to each story with quiet, but clear interest.

[sblock=Insight 17]The dragonborn seems skeptical of your acts. Either he doesn't believe, thinks they're embellished or not as great as you make them seem.[/sblock]

Dane and Dafnin

"Trust with? It doesn't say anything about others. Only danger. Maybe we should trust that danger is coming, or believe in something that seems dangerous. . ." She seems lost in the thought for a moment. "Might not even be a message meant for us but it certainly seems to apply."

She listens to his next response.

"Oh I sought the Warden out myself." She says pleased with her own reality. "Studying in the Valley of Bone, I always sensed their was a connection, in the stars, between the arcane and the primal, but I did not know of anyone who could bridge both practices. Then I heard about the Warden, and so I figured if I could find him maybe I could start to see things. . . differently." She sighs. "I've always been someone who had the urge to just go do things that seemed right at the moment. Kind of like what the stars are saying." She points up again.

"If you stare right there you can see it. Trust in Danger. Focus right there." She moves back, and s silent for a few moments.

"Whoops. I seem to have lost my shirt."

[sblock=ooc]And we can fast forward here. . .[/sblock]

[sblock=Storytime]Incarnation does not share any stories unless prompted, and then will try to obliquely refuse (though he will do so if asked pointedly). Rurdev may or may not share anything. Dane... is busy. :)[/sblock]

[sblock=Moving Along Then]So I think the person with conversation left is Rurdev. I don't see any reason why the rest of that can't happen on the road.[/sblock]

As the night wanes a few more stories are exchanged, and even the sword wielding human seems on good terms with your group by the end of things, even sharing his own tale of a flight from angry centaurs.

In the early morning Dane and Dalfnin return, she speaks briefly with the Warden as he prepares a small travel bag. Then everyone gathers around the entrance of the grove to see you off. It seems everyone besides the Warden is staying behind and not traveling any part of the way.

Elinear still seems less than convinced in this course of action and both the goblin and young dragonborn look less than thrilled. Dafnin approaches Dane at the end ad gives him a stern look.

"If he doesn't come back alive, I'm holding you personally responsible."

Then soon everyone's on their way back to Daunton to charter a ship.

The Warden and Rurdev

The shifter is astounded at the speed and strength of the elder dragonborn. Even so, he quickly draws both axes and strikes out at The Warden with the flats of his blades. The elder quickly dodges one axe, but the other comes very much closer striking true, but the shifter pulls back at the last second, inflicting merely a tap with the flat of the blade. Even then, the skilled shifter knows that he was not far from a miss.

"F-F-First blood," he says and lowers his axes.

"Very well." Says the Dragonborn with a smile. He sheathes his sword. "I should have guessed you were so quick." He claps his hand on Rurdev's shoulder. "You did seem slightly unsure in your movements, new weapons?"

The shifter smiles as well at the Warden's praise. Rurdev sheathes his bloodfury axe and pulls out the ancestral scimitar he still carries, though unmagical. The blade is inscribed with ancestral sayings as well as a lightning motif. "N-New weapons yes. B-But I try to f-f-forget the p-past as well."

Dane slams his axe against his shield twice to exclaimate his statement.

On the way back to Daunton, Dane stays close but just ahead of the Warden.
