D&D General What is available via OGL / SRD?

I'm looking for something that explains exactly what is available legally within the OGL or SRD. I realize there are different SRD versions, and that Pathfinder, was spawned from this system (in some capacity or fully?) but what I'm wondering is how or if you can combine various SRD documents as they remain 'open'?

Is there an article that breaks down if they can be combined? As I see Aasimar in the 3.5 document, but its not in 5.1 for example, and Pathfinder has the Inner/Outer/Transitive Planes from what I can see, so are the Planes open game as well?

Heck, looking at the new Pathfinder game in beta, I see Aasimar, Tiefling, and the basic roster we would expect from 3.5 so both of those are available as well?

OGL and most of the SRD's/PRD's have a document or license. You should read the license. If you have trouble understanding it, a lawyer probably would be a good thing to include.

If you are doing something from the PRD, as they also use the OGL, theoretically you could combine things from both systems.

However, the more SRD's that you use or include make it so more people have claim on your material at the long end of the road.

You can use any open gaming content. It doesn’t matter which SRD it’s in. If it’s open gaming content, you can use it any way you wish. So combine away!

We often use elements from the 3.x/d20 System SRD, and Pathfinder open gaming content in 5E books.

OK, thanks folks. I did (attempt) to understand the legal stuff, but as I couldnt find the complete raw 3.5 document (just a website I) I wasnt seeing where some of the things had been available to use.

Appreciate the responses!

Yeah, always use the actual SRDs if you can so you’re sure that what you’re using is singlet OGC.

Yep, I'll do another look after work for the 3.5, that seemed to be the most complete based on the fragments I could find.
Just remember that if you use material from multiple SRDs, cite each SRD in the Section 15 of the OGL in your work.
