OOC: Almayce still has stuff to do, so he comes back to life. Do I apply the 5000+ xp before or after Almayce is raised? If it's after, he'd gain level 7 back.
(OOC: Your choice. Would it get him to level 8 if he applied it before he died? If so, you can do that and then delevel to be halfway from 7 to 8. If it is not enough for 8, then yeah, you can just delevel and then apply the 5k to regain level 7)

OOC: Nope. The xp reward was big, but not that big, since Almayce just barely made it to level 7 with the reward before the fight.

(OOC: Hmmm...lessee. Ironwolf and Zaeryl can't Scry, so it would be likely to fail (you have to get the target to fail an unspecified non-harmless Will Save with a +5 to the save for secondhand knowledge). And, for unrelated reasons, for the potential targets, choosing to just decide not to make Will saves for a day is a very bad idea. Plus that spell is approaching the limit of the level of Orussian NPCs (the Cleric version is level 5, which only the highest level priest in Orussus can cast). )

Afflicted Michael follows the party's lead, avoiding the Fallonese.
Michael back in his right mind, however, recovers his own judgement, remembers the Fallonese have clerics and afflicted, and believes the Fallonese should be told.

He encourages the rest of the party to depart before then.

(OOC: By the time they reach the Cleric of Verdante, they are halfway back to the Bainlundar Lodge, so he will need to travel backwards alone for a week or so to reach Duvik again. I'll make a thread for that if you like.)

(OOC: Based on the progression of the Affliction, it seems unlikely that the Fallonese Afflicted would have been able to hold out between the time it took the group to get where they are and then the time it would take Michael to go back, and the Afflicted seem to have cleared out of the area. Of course, it is true that if they are somehow getting new victims, it could be helpful. Still, if they had Clerics capable of the Remove Disease / Remove Curse combo, one would think they might have tried it (it is reasonably standard as a possible cure for magical diseases. Of course, Michael, being a Cleric, could cure it himself for them.)

Michael takes a moment to consider the ironies in the situation.
He wants to walk away and leave Fallon, Duvik, and the Bainlunder Lodge to sort the whole mess out their own damned selves.

The only thing stopping him is the affliction created by the priestess of the goddess of desire.
This, Michael thinks wearily, is why we encourage self-discipline. Otherwise, nobody has any fun ever.

ooc: Hulgyr has little love for the people at the lodge or the fallonese. He is, however, a big pushover and also still respects Micheal. With the right amount of persuasion Micheal could probably talk Hulgyr into tagging along.
