Gosh Gnomeworks, this really looks like a trolling thread to me.
You set up essentially a strawman situation and then rant that 4e is lame because the scraps of information in the PHB lite don't allow you to create your a priori character concept?
I'm closing this thread. However, once the actual PHB is released feel free to bring up this subject again if you still feel that you are not able to create the kind of character you are interested in, and you'd like help and suggestions from others about how best to create the character concept you are after.
