You are welcome to join our Living Pathfinder group. I'm running an APL 1-2 group in an adventure that has recently started. It wouldn't be difficult to bring you into the group if you were interested.

Yes. We play our games here in the Playing the Game subforum (those games with [LPF] tags in the title) but our discussions are in the Living Pathfinder section of the Living Worlds subforum. My post above has links to the Living Pathfinder section and the game I'm currently running. We also have a Wiki where we store our character sheets and world info.

So what level should I start at, and are there any restrictions or anything I should know before I build my character?

Everyone starts at 1st level and we don't use all Pathfinder content. You can find more info ---> HERE
