Percy takes a step back. "Wow. OK. Lorien. Why don't you keep the book of the dead. Let us take the rest back to Orussus. With your skills, you should be able to get in there any time you wish and examine them further."

Ishmael looks shocked as Lorien reveals his true nature. But he sees that Percy does not fear him greatly. He does not reach for his weapon but watches the bibliophilic doppleganger carefully.

"I'm just about finished with my research here anyways. Will you be leaving tonight or tomorrow? I'd appreciate one more night with the resources here, then you can have the rest of the books." replies Lorien, grateful that the party didn't jump to kill him as he revealed himself.

The half-orc was actually ready to jump on the librarian-revealed-doppelganger, but as the others didn't seem like they were for the idea, he stayed his hand.

OoC: Thanks for the great adventure, Erekose, even if I was kind of missing for a while during the summer.

That said, I'd like to request the amulet of natural armor for Rodimus.

Nars has been through too much today to be overly surprised by the doppleganger. It didn't seem an immediate threat, especially since it willingly showed itself. Nars would be willing to spend one more night in the tomb to get the rest of the books. He also is excited to see what powers the magic dagger might possess.

"We'll be staying in the main room just inside the doors to the outside. We'll come collect the other books in the morning. Good night, Lorien." says Percy.

OOC: Staying one more night was always the plan. This one is really almost over, eh? Percy's plan remains to load up everything in the wagon, then head for Orussus in the morning. For their last night in the tombs, she orders everyone to stay together. Bathroom breaks must be taken in pairs. (excepts for, um, herself, who can be watched over by Fridley). She doesn't trust the dopleganger, particularly.

Once back in Orussus, Percy would like to purchase some more pearls and get the rest of the magic items identified. Decisions whether to keep or give to the sages would be on a case-by-case basis. This is consistant w/Percy's Chaotic Good alignment. So far, I haven't seen an argument from the lawful folks about this. If necessary, we can play it out IC.

OOC: OK. Here's some things we might like to keep:

definitely keep, as they're usefull & would be sold at half value:amulet of natural armor (Rodimus - everyone probably wants this, actually)
potion of CLW (Percy, or someone else. No point selling this at half price)
scroll (enlarge person, charm person, and web) = 200gp/2 = 100gp (Nezrak probably wants this)

Items we might want, though they can be sold for full value:darkwood rod - lesser empower metamagic rod = 9000gp (Percy might want this despite having just taken the feat. It looks to me like it can be used more effectively, by not increasing the spell level slot. So Percy, for instance, could cast an empowered magic missile with the rod and still only use a 1st level spell slot. If she were to do this with her feat, it would take a 3rd level spell slot. Is this right?)a black half-mask - Death Mask of King Toth Nekamek - +1 Deflection Bonus to AC, +2 Spot and Sense Motive - 4200gp = 5000gp*
dagger - +2 dagger = 9,000gp*
Ring of the ram

Other things of note:
unopenable Black box: We may need to RP this. It looks like a 'knock' spell might well open it. I say we spend the money to get someone to cast this spell on it. Or if Nezrak is inclined to learn the spell, we could do it that way. I think it's a bad idea to leave it hanging.

Nars sleeps restlessly, ready to be away and more importantly puzzling over how that box could be opened. There must be some way, but he had already searched it thoroughly. It must be some kind of magic. Blah.

OOC: [SBLOCK]Nars would advocate selling anything to the sage that he wants to buy at market value. According to the contract, the sage will buy anything at market value, but I don't believe we are required to sell him any particular item, but why not if we could just buy another one from someone else. We just need to bring back some "artifacts." Nars is a letter of the law type. Ishmael may differ. Selling whatever the sage will buy at full value also makes division a lot easier since the dagger and rod are worth more than any single person's share. Of course, Nars would not object to have Percy tossing out bunches of empowered magic missles either.[/SBLOCK]

dont forget the old treasure value that you had taken already, that included some cash. also dont forget Gorefoot's restoration spell(s).

Nars plays with the box over and over even in his sleep. Sometime in the middle of the night he must have managed to figure it out, because in the morning he discovers that the top has slid off and reveals a small jeweled pendant in the shape of a jade scarab beetle.

*its just a puzzle box :)
