Wizard/Warlock Gestalt

If I wanted to build a do-it-all bad mamajama archanist, could I do better than a wizard/warlock gestalt?

I could give a wizard a bunch of reserve feats, opening up that second gestalt slot for some other practical task, but I can't imagine anything that would surpass wizard for miscellaneous utility.

Any thoughts?

I think I would rather do a Warlock/Rogue myself. Sneak Attack + Eldritch Blast could be a hoot. Couple that with the fact that many of the least Invocations are powers that a rogue could enjoy, (Devil Sight, +6 bonus to Diplomacy & Bluff, and a bonus to Jump and Tumble checks).

Wizard/Warlock would be fun, but part of me wonders if Beguiler/Warmage might not be more powerful magic wise. You will have M.A.D. but you will have most of the great combat spells in the game, most of the good Illusion & Enchantment spells and Dispel Magic and Greater Dispel Magic.

Wizard/Warlock gestalt might be weaker than the Eldritch Theurge PrC. The PrC lets you combine spells with Blast Invocations, which can be pretty useful. Wizard/Warlock is a pretty feat intensive build, with not a lot of feat overlap, unlike a Caster/Caster combo where both classes can benefit from Battle Caster or Still spell.

Honestly, I might go for Beguiler/Warmage. Spontaneously casting a TON of spells from two lists? Casting in light armor? 6+Int skill points a level? Beguiler's SR-piercing and save boosts coupled with evocations? Lots of free metamagic? Yes, please.

Beguiler/Warlock wouldn't be bad either.

A bit. Specialist wizard / Master Specialist on one side. Look into some reserve feats. Warlock or Psion on the other side, use your invocations or powers to cover up what you lost from your specialization. Or you could go Sorcerer if you want to go pure arcane.
