Between the two of them, I'd say 5e has the best engine, but Pathfinder is starting to look more promising as WotC shows no interest in developing their system.

They are equal but different IMO. Generally the same thing, but different methods for different players.

Pretty much what Lowkey said*.
5e is pretty much compatible with all my previous stuff (including PF1)

PF2, while I like it well enough, requires more fiddling about to convert stuff. Even basic stuff like AC for a human npc.

*I'm not too concerned about player base/needing to find groups or players.

So if I could only pick one? I'd pick 5e

I think PF2. The monsters are more interesting, and the three action economy is great. I'm also not sure how I really feel about bounded accuracy.

but, I don't think there is a wrong answer, frankly. both are fun.

Much like others have said, With 5e its much easier to convert old stuff to it then it is trying to convert to PF2
