We should have a welcome sticky

It just occurred to me that we don't have a "Welcome n00b" thread/sticky that details who we are and what we do, and has links to relevant locations. Anyone want to do the honors? Or collaborate on a nice intro?

Well, LPF Current and Past Adventures... was my first attempt at it. As a judge, you have access to go in and add to/modify the first post in the thread. I don't want to get too many stickies in the forum, or you might have to start scrolling to get to the normal, active threads.
