While this was mentioned in a recent Freebies, Sales, and Charity Bundles thread, I wanted to start a thread specific to this to help raise awareness.
Owen K. C. Stephens is a prolific game designer with decades of experience in the TTRPG industry under his belt. He's written for WotC, Paizo, Green Ronin, and numerous other companies, turning out an incredible volume of exceptional content. He also, unfortunately, was diagnosed with cancer a year ago.
The response from the RPG community has been exceptional, but given the state of healthcare in the United States, Owen's medical bills keep piling up, and as everyone who works in the TTRPG industry knows, that's not a career you take if you want to strike it rich.
Consequently, Owen has launched a GoFundMe campaign to try and help defer medical costs. He's currently just over one-third of the way to his goal. I'm hopeful that the gaming community can help him meet his funding target soon, so he can put the financial issues aside and focus on getting better.
