The fractal map maker, the grid program, or the color editors?

The fractal map maker is from an old 2nd edition utility, but I bet you could find a better fractal map maker somewhere. It's website is http://rpa.homeip.net/ but as I said, there are better ones.

For color editing, I use an older program because it doesn't do things as 'perfectly' as new stuff. It's called Photosuite, but it's really not that great. You should probably pick up something better if the opportunity presents itself.

As for grids, use a spreadsheet program like Microsoft Excel. Use the color-filling tools and outlines and all that stuff to make the map you want. Highlight all the squares, press Cntr-C, open up MSPaint or any other photo program, and press Cntr-V. Now your excel map is in full beuty on a picture file. That's what works for me, so far.
