EN World Inviting people to the forum for PbP

Would it be considered rude to try invite people that aren't yet members of the forum to a PbP game, giving them the first chance at filling player slots?

Thinking of trying to use PbP as an attempt to get some of my old buddies back into a game together but I don't want to do anything that is frowned upon.

No, that's cool. It's tour game, so you do what you want. I have seen games that are invite only here.
