How about calling them Power Points and return the Monk to being Psionic as it was in 4e?

*edit: I've always thought of PP = Power Points, rather than Psi Points, due to Golden Sun using it for their Psynergetic Powers. Of course, in Japan, they're EP - Energy Points, and Psynergy is just called Energy. I'd be cool with Energy Points too for the Monk too!

It is specifically a Japanese word. On a Chinese Shaolin archetype. If anything, it should be qi (ch'i, if you want to use the deprecated Wade-Giles romanization).
Sorry, I was trying to make the point that ki is a member of a multicultural set of cognate words.
But I haven't studied the languages in question so I may well be wrong!

If the purpose is multicultural then "aura points" or "lifeforce points".

If "spirit points", that would include psionic as well, and even "psi points" can make sense then.
