I hadn't been paying attention to Facebook, Youtube or ENWorld for the past couple weeks. Mom had a small stroke event, then she took a tumble and chipped her femur. So for the last month and a half, I've been putting in more hours of caregiving, all day long, then allowing myself 4 hours at the end of each day to work on publications. About 2 weeks ago, I noticed the stink about OGL 1.0a for the first time. I had been working on a supplement for Spelljammer, and had been planning to release it under the Community Content Agreement at the DM's Guild, since Spelljammer is WotC IP, in order to publish using D&D IP, I had to go through the DM's Guild. For a while I thought the OGL mess might mess up this project - apparently it does not. Now it doesn't seem I get as large a publisher cut in profits as I do when I create Starfinder material, so I'm a bit apprehensive about doing it, for less money. My only hope is that a D&D product might get better sales than my Starfinder material and a cut in pay, might not hurt so much... we'll see. I don't see that anything has changed from past and current projects, now that the fiasco has been walked back. I will be looking to using ORC in the future, but things seem to be continuing on as if nothing has happened...
