I was recently reminiscing on the 3e nostalgia thread and remembered Chainmail. When the game was cancelled I had just started at the FLGS I would eventually manage and the owner had received a bunch of the miniatures for free and gave them to me because he didn’t think he could sell them at that point with the plastic minis coming down the pipe. I remember they were pretty cool sculpts at that! Did anyone play the game itself? What went wrong that WOTC canned it so quickly? Too soon what with the way a few years later Warmahordes and Warhammer 40k got extremely popular for a while? I’d love to see a D&D skirmish game come out again.
