Casting Spells with Spiked Gauntlets

Is it possible to cast spells while wielding dual spiked gauntlets? They are not Locked Gauntlets, which have the remark:

While the gauntlet is locked, you can’t use the hand wearing it for casting spells or employing skills. (You can still cast spells with somatic components, provided that your other hand is free.)

So, reading the above, would that hint to users that normal gauntlets/spiked gauntlets CAN be used for casting spells and employing skills?

given that Locked Gauntlets have the remark "while the gauntlet is locked, you can't use the hand wearing it" for spells and such, that would indicate that you can use a hand wearing a locked gauntlet for those things when it is unlocked. So I would take that to mean that any unlocked gauntlet would have the same ability, unless noted otherwise.
