Felix Prepares to shoot and stands as far from the doors as he can whilst still thinking he can make a shot accuratekly and whispers to himself.
"It's probably a good Idea to 'pierce the heart of the beast' as it were, and head into the heart of the complex anyway, we must come back and check these doors however even if it is as we depart...
Of course I am assuming we survive..."
He shrugs grimly and squares his shoulders.

OoC:OK, that's enough time, I guess. Troi and Velbrik forward, Felix behind with Thurganand thale.
Troi moves forwards, finding the doors unlocked, It seems that the beasts didn't care about security in that respect, or perhaps they really had reverted to an animalistic state and didn't think of such things.
Opening the Doors, Troi and Velbrik peer inside, seeing a short hallway (perhaps 15' wide by 30' long) which ended in another door, this one single and open a foot or so. The sound was much more discernable now, sounding like the tattoo of some primative drums...velbril notes that there is a setady beat, though it holds little by way of artistic beauty.

Troi and Velbrik move into the corridor, with Thale,Felix and Thurgan close behind...
Moving to the far door, Thurgan and Thale can clearly hear (above the drumming,whichis further off), something closer. It sounds like something/someone restlessly pacing across the flagstones, with the occassional sound of something heavy hitting the ground.
(Thurgan determines that the door is neither locked nor trapped).
