OOC: Hmm... very interesting. I understand what Cludge is trying to do, but unfortunately for "Kitty" it's a lose-lose-lose scenario for him. As Cludge's "best friend", it seems unlikely to me that the dwarf would want to push the lamia down to the ground or force it to provoke AoO from all the people around it. I'll allow it, since Cludge is mighty confused, but I don't think he should continue this behavior next round.
Also, regarding breaking the charm monster effect, A) Cludge already received a bonus for being in combat, he failed his will save. So combat won't break the spell. And B) the kitty is acting very rationally if it fights back against Cludge's other friends. In Cludge's eyes, it would be self-defense. So nope, charm monster stands as is.
Round 8:
Cludge tries to push over the creature, hoping to defend it or... or something. The creature is terribly surprised by Cludge's actions, and still dazed by Lasair's blast. It doesn't respond, but when Cludge pushes, it does
push back, and Cludge falls to the ground. The cat creature looks piteously at Cludge, as though it couldn't comprehend why its friend would ever try to tackle it when it was clearly being attacked by friends! Cludge is overcome with emotion, and promises himself not to try that move again.
Shadya swings again and misses, again.
Kurgahz swings again and misses, again.
Conuld whacks the thing with his staff, but does minimal damage.
The creature stands still, a miserable sight, tears streaming down its face, incapable of deciding what to do.
Lasair is unaffected. She hits it again, and again, its mind offers no resistance. (
failed save,
3 Cha damage)
OOC: That's 3 natural 1's in the creature's last 7 rolls. Is IC broken?? This is getting a little ridiculous!
