*Almost as if in trance, Benedict finally takes his eyes of the crumbling temple and transfixes the bleeding creature, cold fury in his eyes.

"YOU THERE!" he challenges the dark beast with the point of his sword. "Whereever pit you've crawled from... for you at least, your time here is at an end."

Darting forward, Benedict - all iron armour, sword and shield - slams heavily into the creature with a powerful blow that drops the creature, dead.*

Benedict steps back and away from the slain creature, pointing his sword at the next beast poised to attack the group.

Right this moment - as Benedict bellows another furious challenge - and for the briefest possible time only, the perpetual dust and smoke clears just one tiny speck of sky, allowing a spear of pale sunlight to fall onto the old temple, reflect of the broken shards of glass and faintly illuminate the creature.

For reasons unknown, the beast howls as if in terrible pain.

The creature #3, severly injured by Benedict's divine attack, seems furious and leaps through the air, its shape seems to be shifting through the air, blurring. The creature lands on him digging its teeth into his shoulder drawing, but the creature then twitches in pain and drops dead at your feet.
[sblock=attack]1d20 8=22, 1d6 3=9 AC22; damage 9[/sblock]

creature #2 mimics its ally's tactics and jumps down the house and quickly crawls up to Benedict, but you block the creature easily

creature #4 leaps off its roof and, leaving a blurry trail behind him, lands on Solaris, trying to taking him down to the ground, but your defensive stance proved to be effective and, with the flat of your blade, pushes the creature back

Limitz takes a step back mutering some inautible curses about orcs and shoots another ice ray, but misses the target.

The last creature, #5, Jumps off the roof with a surprisingly long jump. Solaris lifts his head just in time to see this blurring creature above him and successufuly dodges the creature.

Solaris smiles as he evades his foes attacks, then reacts with his own counterstrike. With his whirling blades, Solaris stabs at the enemy twice with quick strikes, but his blades are off-balance as he slips on some loose rubble beneath his feet.

Regaining his footing he steps closer to Limitz, attempting to continue protecting the mage.

For a moment of brief respite, Benedict lets himself drive backward from the assault. Seeing the creature perish in pain though, a surge of inspired strenght runs through him.

"You two. Neither will you escape your end today."
Benedict clamours from below his visor as he forces the attention of the next assailants with a piercing smite of his battle-worn blade.

[sblock=OOC]
(move action)
shift 1 sq. up-and-right (get into contact with both #2 and #4)

(minor action)
Channel Divinity: Divine Strenght (+3 damage on next attack)

Piercing smite vs #2, marking both #2 & #4! Piercing smite is vs. Reflex instead of AC (and should therefore just barely hit).
