D&D 3E/3.5 3.5e Half-Dragon?

Arc

While good for fighters, and a possibility for sorcerors... I still wonder why one my group members decided to become a half-dragon rogue. He started taking fighter after 2 levels of rogue, but what in the heck would make you want to become a half-dragon rogue? Dex? No. Concealability? No. Low hit points? Well.... that one's right.

A half-dragon gets 3 sneak attacks as a full-round action... and they get enough hit points that they might be able to survive standing still to do so. IMO this is way superior than taking TWF at low-levels.

Technik, dragons just use class Hit Dice, with no bonuses. I guess half-dragons are tougher :D

The only thing a fighter rogue is worse than a fighter are hitpoints and a more specialised feat selection as well as a little bit lower damage (usually due to less strength) against non crit monsters.
That template changes all that and might even give him better will saves.

It's been said already, but I think worth repeating ...

half-dragons only get an increase in hit die type for their monster class, not any class hit die.
