Bards and Sages announces its 5th Annual Writing Competition. 100% of the reading fees will be donated to the non-profit Children's Literacy Initiative. This year's theme:
All stories must involve vampires and dragons in some way. They need not be the main characters, but must play an important role in the story. Stories can be in any speculative genre: horror, fantasy, science fiction, or any sub-genre in between, and can be up to 30,000 words. Reading fee is $10. Complete submission guidelines can be found on the official contest page.
I'd like to take a moment to thank this year's co-sponsors of the contest. These folks have helped boost the prize offerings, as well as providing some special gifts just for entering the contest.
