DMG Magic $ - VS. - CG v1.2 Magic $

How do you calculate the value of a magic item in the DMG to equal the cost of that
item in the Character Generator. (Sorry if this question has been asked before ...
but I couldn't find it.) I'd like to know how much is a "+2 Dagger, Keen, Flaming Burst"
cost and what is the point/value breakdown of such a weapon.

Example #1: The Character Generator calculates a "Dagger +1" at $2,302 and the
DMG says it would be worth the same (302 = Dagger and 2000 = +1). All is well, but...

Example #2: The Character Generator calculates a "Dagger, Flaming" at $8,302,
but the DMG says it would be worth $2,302 (302 = Dagger and 2000 = Flaming
Market Price Modifier of +1).
A 6,000 difference ... why/what am I doing wrong?

Example #3: The Character Generator calculates a "Dagger, Flaming Burst" at
$18,302, but the DMG says it would only be worth $8,302 (302 = Dagger and
8000 = Flaming Burst Market Price Modifier of +2).
A 10,000 difference ... why/what amd I doing wrong?

Thank you in advance for your help.

You don't look up the weapon's bonus and its Market Price Modifier bonus separately -- you add them together (see DMG p. 183, under "Weapons," third paragraph) before checking the price chart.

So for instance...

A +1 weapon (+1)
with flaming (+1)
is the equivalent of a +2 weapon, which if you look on Table 8-10 in the DMG is 8000gp. Add to that the cost of the appropriate masterwork weapon.

A +1 weapon (+1)
with flaming burst (+2)
is the equivalent of a +3 weapon, which is 18,000 gp plus the cost of the weapon.

OK and thanks for the info. Eric, but I am still a little confused.

So you are saying that the "Dagger, Flaming" is a +2 weapon for
attack and damage purposes (and vs. Damage Reduction also?)
- OR - just for $ value purposes - OR - both? And the "Dagger,
Flame Burst" is likewise a +3 weapon (Att/Dmg, value or both)?
(Then would the "Dagger +2, Keen, Flaming Burst" be considered
a +6 weapon?)

Taking a look at the MM p. 9-10, Damage Reduction (Su). Will the
"Dagger, Flaming" deliver normal damage (0 damage ignored) to
the Werewolf (DR 15/silver)? Or not (15 damage ignored), because
it only has a special magical property (Flaming) and not a +2
(nor silver in this case). [[MY bad, DMG p.74 "Magical attacks and
energy attacks (even mundane fire) ignore damage reduction."
but I think you get the point.]]

One more question. On a Critical Hit (Character's STR = 10) the
"Dagger, Flaming Burst" damage is; 1d4, +1d6, +1d10? (then add +3?)

Thanks again...

A +1 flaming dagger has a +1 enhancement bonus, but costs as much as a +2 dagger.
