There is a reason it is taking them 2 years to put the SRD(s) into CC. I assume you don't like that reason because you are complaining about it.

That is why I said less publisher friendly. As an artist / publisher I want to the rights to control some of my work. ORC makes that impossible - that is not friendly IMO. Now I agree some publishers took the intent of the OGL to far, but taking away protections completely is an issue I think...

Not completely pulled from 4e. The big difference was in the quote. In 4e your death saves reset after a rest vs 5e where the reset when you are stabilized or gain any hit points. So in any given combat you only ever get 3 failures in 4e while they can be virtually infinite in 5e.

Same, never read 0e so I assumed those questions were 1e. I never played 3e so I don't know it very well either, but I did much better on those questions than 0e!

That is interesting. Thank you for pointing it out. I was unaware ORC required you to release everything. Makes it a little less publisher friendly than I thought.

I was unaware of the "Mother of Monsters" adventures and setting. I will have look into a bit more - I do like ancient Greek style settings. The runequest books look pretty awesome too, if costly.

Sure, but nothing for the next 10 years quite compares to the 2024 core rule updates. So they probably have a point.
