    D&D 5E Ashardalon Stride + Haste

I think the situation is the other way around. Why would it NOT double the speed including the spell buff. Haste doesn't say do not include magical additions to speed. It says double the target's speed.

Critical Role Critical Role Campaign 3 Discussion (SPOILERS)

I enjoyed the first episode overall. I was at first a little bummed by the characters from EU showing up but it wasn't because I don't like those characters. It was because my very favorite part of each session 1 is seeing the new characters and I already was familiar with those characters. I...

D&D 5E What is the best class for a single class only campaign?

I voted for warlock. The darkness /devil sight combo for a whole crew is pretty sweet. Toss in multiple cloud of daggers spells for some epic ping pong damage via eldritch blast with forced movement.

D&D General What are your favorite D&D-related podcasts and actual plays -- and why?

My top three have been mentioned already. Critical Role, High Rollers, and Dimension 20. I like them all for various reasons, some similar and some not.

    D&D 5E Rules Question about Bigby's Hand

I was going to point out the same thing. The squeezing rules apply to creatures, but not objects. I am not sure of the intent of the designers in this case but since it is magic, is not a creature, and it doesn't occupy the space it is in I would allow for the hand to move anywhere within the...

Critical Role Critical Role’s 7-hour Campaign Finale

If Sam keeps up his current trend he will play what Liam suggests, as I believe he did with Scanlan and Nott/Veth. My personal choices would be: Travis - Wizard or Sorcerer Laura - Bard Marisha - Warlock Taliesin - Rogue Liam - Paladin Sam - Druid ( Moon so he has more wild shape options )...

Critical Role Critical Role’s 7-hour Campaign Finale

I hope campaign 3 is pretty unrelated to the 2nd, like the 2nd was to the 1st. A few mentions of locales, a couple NPCs showing up, but for the most part a new story with new characters. Seeing their new characters is one of my favorite things actually.

D&D 5E Character Thoughts -- Primary Warlock Build

Arcane Trickster is what I would go with. Nab a few more spells and some good skills/expertise and cunning action. Sneak attack is technically a benefit but if you are mostly casting then it is not that great obviously.

D&D 5E Dashing with flying magic items, yea or nay?

I agree with Sword of Spirit. The items that do not grant you a flying speed cannot be used to dash since the dash action doubles your speed, not the speed of an object you are sitting on. If a character is floating down a river on a log and the speed of the log is 60 feet due to the flow of the...

D&D 5E Spell Versatility is GONE. Rejoice!

I am glad it was removed. It makes it less likely that a feature I disliked will become more commonplace and creep into games I could be in.

D&D 5E Booming Blade and Green-Flame Blade Nerfed in TCoE

I think they should have let them work with War Caster still. But the other changes I can totally see them not having realized and not wanting them to work.

    D&D 5E Bad Sage Advice?

The only SA I disagree with are the ones that don't follow the rules and instead make an actual illogical decision. SA tends to follow RAW and so when I run across a ruling from SA that I disagree with, it doesn't make the SA wrong necessarily. It makes it wrong for my game. For instance, I...

D&D 5E New class options in Tasha

I think some sorcerers needed help, but I agree with the people who think that it shouldn't come at the cost of a portion of another class's identity. I don't think it is overpowering really, but I think it is the wrong kind of patch up. It's traditionally not supposed to be the sorcerer's job...

D&D 5E How do you roll, DM?

There's nothing to indicate in any of the rules that anyone, player or DM, hide rolls. As a matter of fact, some PC abilities specifically call out that you can see the roll before using an ability, but you must use it before you know what AC it hits. Since some of the rules specifically call...

    D&D 5E Goodberry + Unicorn Spirit ( Circle of Shepherd Feature )

I agree with everyone that thinks the original Sage Advice makes no sense since the spell is done being used when it is cast. I think it's a stretch to say using the goodberry spell to heal counts for disciple of life healing, but not unicorn spirit. If I said I use my fly spell to cross the...

    D&D 5E Goodberry + Unicorn Spirit ( Circle of Shepherd Feature )

The healing is better then that I think which is why I think it might be too strong. Let's say your party is 4 characters. This seems like a reasonable assumption. At level 2 when they get this ability, each berry eaten is worth up to 9hp. 1 hp for who eats it, and then 8 more hp ( 2 per party...

    D&D 5E Goodberry + Unicorn Spirit ( Circle of Shepherd Feature )

If you subscribe to the Disciple of Life ( Life Cleric ) bonus healing working with Goodberry ruling ( as per Sage Advice ) would you also agree that Goodberry and Unicorn Spirit from Circle of Shepherd druid subclass should interact similarly? Unicorn Spirit reads as follows: Unicorn Spirit...

    D&D 5E Unarmored Defense as a Feat?

I feel like it is stepping on the toes of 2 classes and a subclass a bit too much ( Monk, Barbarian, and Bladesinger ). Straight up power-wise it is pretty powerful but shouldn't be game breaking in most cases.
