So I had more money than sense and bought issue 7. I went paler than a WotC Drow when I realised how much I'd spent on these, but it did have a nice set of dice with it. Not read the mag yet, but the dice are glow in the dark ^_^

I am curious as to why they didn't throw in a tin with issue 5 as well. I picked up #5 and I thought it was a tad anemic compared to the others.

You're right. I mean, the covers are meant to be torn off anyway so no biggie, but the shop I got it from had all three issues. I'll bet that could lead to some confusion.

I picked up issue 3 this morning. Nice figures, a little bit smaller than expected, but definately useble. The mag covers conditions, skills, Elves, Halflings, Wizards - concentrating on 1st level, the Red Wizards and an adventure. One thing that did make me do a double take was that this issue...

I've managed to get 2 copies of issue 2! Asda still only had issue 1, even after they'd done the weekly mag shelf update. I ended up getting them from the local tobacco and girlie mag shop. Not had a good look yet, but sections concentrate on humans as a race/species/whatever term doesn't upset...

My post was from last October when there had been no publicity and even the few that had heard of it were unaware it was just a 4 issue trial ^_^

Due to a lot happening here, I've not had much chance to get a look at issue 1, so I sat down today and had a quick look through. The one thing that struck me was that the pages are all detachable. I saw a youtube review that mentioned this and they said that was so all the sections, lore...

Got a copy! W.H.Smiths, and Tesco both had it. Forbidden Prices didn't and ASDA were still putting mags out when I went, so I don't know if they had it. The assistant in Smiths said "This looks like its going to be expensive" ^_^

A quick google shows that Forbidden Planet are taking preorders for the first 7 issues.

I'll agree it's not bad for a beginner. However the first thing that caught my eye is the intial blurb listed the mag for £4.99 and now it's nearly double that. According to the comments on the video it will be in the shops here on the 13th. I'll have a wander to W.H.Smiths on Wednesday to see...

And at £8.99 after the first issue, that's a nope from me!
