This is one those things I don't actually feel the need for the warlord to have (maybe this is one of the points that always causes warlord fans to argue about), is healing. I like the idea of granting temp hit points, I think it's cool for them to bolster their allies, but healing doesn't seem...
I only really tried the wizard because my friends and I only played 4e near the start of its release, but it was definitely worth having one in the party and was a fun role to play when you annihilate a couple of minions with one spell.
The amount of times I only see a half conversation because someone is constantly replying to someone on my ignore list, is crazy. I often know who they are responding to as well because they'll mention their name. Still no desire from me to unblock them though, too much stress.
I've had different experience with monks as well, they typically have been fun for those who played them and they did well in combat. I'm not saying it's perfect but it definitely doesn't suck.
This is what I like about 5e, I can build a warlord a number of different ways because the warlord kit was split between a number of classes and subclasses.
I quite like the Essence20 field commander from transformers RPG, think of them as the Megatron or Optimus Prime class, it's basic command is:
Issue Command
Many of your allies trust your commands more than their own instincts. As a Move action, you can issue a command, granting allies who...
I've never considered level one to be just a regular person, for that, the old school gamers have normal human.
New players are easily handled, you can start them with pregen, or walk them through building their PC until they get the hang of the system.
I don't know what you mean by free...
I'm definitely down for subclasses starting a 1st level for all classes.
The class feats for pf2 are interesting since it let's you build your class in various ways without locking in your build which I think is quite good. Class feats also tie into the multiclass system, or whatever they call...
It's no different than selecting the divine, primal, or arcane spell list and I think that this is what the should have been one of the defining aspects of the sorcerer but they hadn't really set up up the different magic types.
Yeah, seems like price hikes over most (all?) of the classic titles. I'd have to go back to check my purchases to see how much but it is definitely noticeable
I feel like, at the very least, most casual players are buying their own set of dice. It was one of the first things everyone in my group, who hadn't played any RPG before, did after starting the game.
So I never noticed that the Dark Sun charts were any different, but now looking back over it the constitution chart is also different, allowing for non-warriors to gain more health with scores above 19.
