I have no doubt that they're going to keep pushing FR. I'd think that they'd use Greyhawk to show how a DM can keep it grounded if you don't want your players to be things like Kenku Spore Wardens. I like the idea that the books may tag things as core classes and races.

I'm having so much fun poking fun in that thread. Some are getting so bent out of shape in there over what should be a total nothing.

It's just a piece of art. It's not like Elmore published this piece with a picture of a warrior with long hair and a skirt, or did he? I'm pretty sure for the majority of people what defines male or female rests between the legs, and that wasn't depicted.

It's not a man or a woman. It's a bit of art that was used in a commercial product. It's a player's character at best. For Larry, it can be a man, and for everyone else, it's whoever they want it to be.

I gotta say, if D&D is going to cause controversy, this is the right type of controversy.

Being entirely serious, I think Wizkids/WotC took fantastic artistic license there, and they could have also done two versions of the mini. Honestly, it's beefy enough that they probably would have had to give it a beard to make it seem more masculine. As it is, it can just be male with huge pecs.

I guess Larry can think of her as male if he wants. I don't think it really matters.

Lol. I was wondering why I bothered with the 5e version of it instead of just the DCC version. Considering seeing if I can sell it and some of the other 5e things I kickstarted.

I think it's interesting to identify what has to be done to do an SRD. I would think it would start with a text dump of a rule set from a book - I'm sure they have plain text copy of all of it by now, then a big edit, and then review for trademark and copyright issues. That third one is the...

My issue is that the whole tact is to get players who don't DM to buy more books. I guess what players do is dependent on their involvement and interest in the game. When I was doing 5th edition, I was a mostly player, but I was invested enough that I kept buying books out of a hoarding type...

Lol. If I had one wish for WotC and 5th, is they'd stop putting out new player options in disparate books, and instead just put out a new PHB every 5 years with whatever changes they want to make. OTOH, DMG, and MM can be much more infrequent for refreshes.

Definitely could be. I think that crowdfunding is too big of a tool for goodman to ignore. The preorder aspect alone is pretty big. If they design the product thinking that they'll have (BS number) a print run of 5000 and preorders are for a significant percentage of that then they have data...

I looked at it and moved on. It looks good if AD&D is your game of choice though. I'd rather reduce complication more than anything though.
