D&D 5E [IC] Creamsteak's Storm King's Thunder: Waterdeep

SunGold

First Post
Willow follows Bellalalalalalinda and Whistler, quietly taking in the city's splendor. She never cared much for cities, but Silverymoon, in all its lush and living beauty, was an exception.

"Shall we take care of the lord's message first, then?" she says to her companions.

The Gem of the North is a fitting epithet for Silverymoon: a beautiful, tranquil city where trees and gardens live in harmony with buildings, bridges, and sculptures. Silverymoon is an enlightened place, with a great library, breathtaking temples and shrines, and respected schools of magic, art, and music. Its beauty awes visitors and is the subject of many bardic songs and tales.

The city seems in good spirits, and you can see signs that a bard college also still exists in this city. The colorful city doesn't seem too taken aback by Whistler or anything else that sticks out about your party.

High Marshal Methrammar Aerasumé, the city’s lord, resides in a tall, slender palace on the east side of the city and commands Silverymoon’s knight-defenders.

OOC: Let me know if you want to approach the Marshal angle or investigate anything else.

Gul shrugs, he has no particular preference which order things are done in and will happily accompany Davaros to the Warden.
En route though, and more from habit than anything else, he activates the Staff of the Vonindod, curious whether any fragments have been unrecovered from the city..

The staff does detect something coming from a large inn on the north side of town.

Sentries at the front of the palace of course ask what business you have with the warden. They don't seem too wary of anyone in your party, and are professional and courteous.

Bellalalalalinda is content to talk with the Marshal. If along the way, she sees some local delicacy (an ice cream vendor; a waffle stand) she will buy one for each of her and Whistler.

"We bring him a message from Lord Harthos Zymorven," Willow says. She produces a scroll from her pack, offering it to the sentry so he can inspect its seal.

OOC: Sorry, I'd normally expect Davaros to be the "Face Man" for dealing with nobles, but since it's been a couple days I'm mostly posting to *bump.* :)

Gul smiles encouragingly at Willow and apologises to the sentry, "We realise the Marshal is a busy man, but this is important.."

After some banter you are slowly permitted to speak to higher and higher authorities in the city. High Lord Methrammar Aerasumé is a half-elf accompanied by a psuedodragon familiar. Said dragon seems to take some offense at Whistler, the first sign of anyone in this city taking particular offense. The High Marshall at this particular moment is in the courtyard training alongside some of his own recruits.

He introduces himself, wiping off his brow, and marshals up the courage to ask, "What news do you bring? Adventurers from far gone places usually don't make it a point to ask for me directly."

OOC: Sorry guys, business travels interfered with my online life... And yes, Davaros should have done the talking, being a noble and all...

Davaros nods respectfully "We do apologize for breaking protocol and going strait to you, but we come with news that we knew you will want to hear yourself first. Please let me introduce myself and my companions, as to not cause further breach of decorum. I am Davaros of house Silverfist. These are my companions Gul, Willow and Bellalalalalinda. And of course Whistler", he says with a smile. He pupusefully gives the floor to his companions to give the news.
