The weight of their gear is so heavy that the entire planet collapses on itself, causing a huge melee as the 1000th level character easily fends off the millions of cthonic horrors lurking within the planet in the newly formed asteroid belt.

Or something like that.

...thereby granting the 1,000-level character enough XP to become 10,000th level!!
