ooc: I was wondering why my rolling was so abysmal last night in my table top game!! Yay for stabilization.
(OOC: Indeed--it looks like the group will beat the average playtest result of the encounter for attacking the hobgoblins and then never retreating :) (I playtested a few different scenarios a few times). Hurray!!)

Scun carefully moves to behind Dagummit and uses his wand to heal him.

ooc: I hope that's the right thing to do this round. I'm a little confused about exactly what is going on and where everyone is.

(OOC: Then I'll make another map--hold on a sec.)

*Scun's wand heals a bit of Dagummit's wounds.*

*A'jardin's scroll produces another mote of force that slams into Dagummit's orc, knocking the wounded humanoid unconscious with a shock of magical energy.*

*Though the odds have turned badly against them, the battle-frenzied orcs continue their assault, one charging Scun and the other foolishly assaulting Somac.*

*Before Somac's orc can even reach the magically enlarged barbarian, Somac takes a preemptory swipe with his axe, nearly killing the orc straight-out. Nevertheless, the orc does manage to hit the doughty barbarian for a similarly ferocious counterattack. Nevertheless, Somac seems far better able to ignore the blow than the weaker orc.*

*The other orc charges Scun, who no longer had his spear to protect him. The attack hits the injured half-orc for just barely enough to cause a bright flashing light and then blackness.*

(OOC:

Dagummit recovers 3 hit points

A'jardin's scroll deals 5 damage--maximum!

Somac's AoO hits for 18 damage!

The orc deals Somac 14 damage.

Scun takes 12 damage, bringing him to -1.

Tandi's turn, followed by Somac.)

OOC:
[sblock]I know my turn isn't coming up very soon, but this game has a tendency to realy start moving fast at times. No ranks in Heal, trying to Aid Other with a +1 wis bonus though. The crossbow attack will most likely be at -4 from an ally being nearby, so overall -3 to hit. On a side note, I love nestable tags.[/sblock]

(if any orcs are still up)
[sblock]Raising the crossbow that had been nearly forgotten while he still had magical attacks available, A'jardin fires at an orc, then wearily reloads.[/sblock]

(if all the orcs are down)
[sblock]Tandi! It seems to be safe now! Does anyone have some skill with healing? Then in goblin I don't know what exactly happened here, but I'd be glad to call an end to the fighting since we seem to have inadvertently helped you with what you were trying to do. A'jardin will then try to help whoever is most skilled with stabilizing Scun.[/sblock]

(OOC: Actually, so many of the party members are unconscious that it is your turn after Tandi, Somac, and Dagummit ;)

On a side note, good to see you have your priorities straight--that -1 HP cleric needs to stabilise and wake up to heal, so get him before the -7 HP halfling, right? :D)

ooc: If Scun was directly behind Dagummit, did the orc charge through Somac's threatened area? Kind of looks that way.

edit: just saw that he used his aoo on the other orc.

(OOC: Nope, just barely missed it--though admittedly, even if he did, Somac doesn't have Combat Reflexes.)

Edit: Ooh, too fast for me :D
