    OSR The Monster Overhaul

I would love to see his take on a megadungeon. It would be absolutely bananas.

RPG Print News – Free League, Ghostfire Games, Legendary Games, and More

I really wanted to like these, but the art is so small for the profile of these, and some of the shapes are a little silly. Destro is basically printed on a Mickey head. I was hoping for something a little more "art forward" like Pathfinder Pawns.

D&D General Goodman Games To Reincarnate Jennell Jaquays' Caverns of Thracia

Great question. To the best of my knowledge, neither Dark Tower nor Old School Traps were up on Amazon pre-crowdfunding, and I was at least vaguely aware enough to be looking. Both are up there now, with Old School Traps as pre-order for end of May. I've never seen any other crowdfunded books...

D&D General Goodman Games To Reincarnate Jennell Jaquays' Caverns of Thracia

But if it's releasing in Oct, production is already paid for, and the turn around will be so small that if anyone were to catch errors or anything, it'd be about 4 months too late to do anything about it. Why crowdfund when you're already doing pre-orders? Is this normally how late in the...

D&D General Goodman Games To Reincarnate Jennell Jaquays' Caverns of Thracia

Starts around 28 min in that video. Confirmed for crowdfunding sometime in the summer. Which makes those Amazon and B&N links even weirder. What are they crowdfunding if there's already an ISBN and mass market pre-order setup available?

D&D General Goodman Games To Reincarnate Jennell Jaquays' Caverns of Thracia

That would be my guess, though it's weird that these pages have been live for a little while now (at least several weeks) and there's been no chatter on any of Goodman's channels, Reddit, or anywhere else that I regularly tune for this stuff. Really flying under the radar for news!

D&D General B3 Palace of the Silver Princess, and why (I think) it's great

Gladly! I believe we are scheduled to run close to the end of this month.

D&D General Goodman Games To Reincarnate Jennell Jaquays' Caverns of Thracia

Looks like Thracia is coming at the end of Oct according to Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

D&D General B3 Palace of the Silver Princess, and why (I think) it's great

Great points, all! I agree that I framed this quite a bit too far on the side of "5E heroes on a quest" and need to lean more into what makes Shadowdark strong. I think the simple change of reframing the hook and making the spreading curse more of a background element that might come out later...

D&D General B3 Palace of the Silver Princess, and why (I think) it's great

TL;DR: I hope this isn't a threadjack -- or if it is, it's a fruitful one that adds to the conversation, as well -- but I was wondering what would you folks put on your wish list of things to update, revise, or add to B3 in order to strengthen its themes and story? Background: I'm planning to...

    OSR The Monster Overhaul

I love monster books because of the inspiration mainly, then the lore, and lastly the stats. I used to think (for an embarrassingly long time) that I liked them for the stats more, but only all-too-recently have I discovered that I don't like my games as mechanically complex as I thought I did...

    Mining 5E For Personal D&D

I'd start with Shadowdark or Knave, and build from there. Before SD dropped, I was using Knave as the basis of some hacks and it was incredibly powerful and streamlined, making it really easy to do so. The compatibility with B/X-era D&D means you open up so much content for direct use that it's...
