Having watched all of nuWho (some of it many times), and now watching from the very beginning (I'm just starting series 5), I found both of these episodes thoroughly entertaining, moving, and intriguing. Loved it.

One of my favorite things about DW is how agile it is at switching from silly and funny to serious and horrific. I think it's one of the things that kids like about it - kids like to be scared, but they don't like a sustained scare.

I've backed Hypersleep Terminated, because it fills a sub-genre I've wanted to play/run, and because I don't have to really run it! I'll probably be backing Nibblemancy, because it looks like a fun addition, and because of the creator's strong "no AI imagery" statement.

This will take more time to digest than I have right now, but I like the basic ideas. Ultimately, if ti works in play for you then it probably will for others, too. I think there's better ways to present and organize things, but again I can't get into the weeds about it right now.

Four arms is not enough.

Like others, I could not make it through the first book, but liked a lot of the ideas. I tried watching the Chinese adaptation, and although it seems to have a very nice budget I did not find it engaging. We watched the first 2-3 episodes of the Netflix adaptation, and...I doubt we'll watch...

So if you buy nothing, probably the 2024 basics and nothing else. Makes sense.
