The Dance of Souls

Knight Otu

First Post
In the back room, the nobles and their servants take a seat, while the two guards remain unseated. The nobles patiently wait for the adventurers that come in to introduce themselves and ask any questions they may have.

Banion Lorish, Halfling Soulknife

Following quietly, Banion walks into the back room. He waits patiently until at least two other adventurers have joined him. As no one seems to have noticed him yet, he clears his throat. Blushing as several eyes turn towards him, he says "Um, I'm of the... ah, Martial Path I guess."

Godo looks at the two halflings with a bit surprise, then says "As long as we are awaiting the arrival of more of your comrades, why do you not introduce yourself, and address your talents? We would like to discuss the matter when we are certain about the number of attendees to avoid unnecessary repetition."

Banion Lorish

Trying (with only a little success) to appear confident, Banion raises his chin and speaks.

"I'm a dead shot with a sling, I can get around most places without being seen, and I can hold my own in a fight. Even with big folk."

If anyone looks doubtfull at this statement, Banion's attempt at condifence will turn into a glare. When he's angry, Banion tends to forget his shyness and insecurity.

Sam walks into the room, a small, dishoveled man... his face buried in a book. He trips over a chair, and his book goes flying, and he plants his face in the ground. He gets up, and apprases his surroundings, not quite sure where he is.

"Zis one seems to pursiu ze arcane paz. Zervant, help ze man up and hand him his buuk.", the blonde noble says calmly. The servant hurries to help Sam up, and gets him the book. Once order is resumed, the noble continues "Ai assume zat yoo are willing to participate in a task in oor employ?"

(Airwhale, I think Nimisgod may catch it as well, but I think your Strength should be 8, and all Strength-based numbers would be reduced by 1. Also, I think your attack roll with a light crossbow would be +1, and you miss Common and two other languages you are entitled to. :))

"I am Beamer Glimmereye. Though I have no books, I am beginning to learn arcane powers as well. I'm also a good shot with a crossbow, and like all of my kind can avoid notice when necessary. I fear I am lacking in physical strength, but have always found a way to make myself useful in other areas."

"Um, yes... I do happen to be looking for a job, and I am a student of wizardry. My name is Sam. Sam Martin." Sam takes his book from the servent, and thanks him. "And who are you? Would anyone be kind enought to tell me where I am?" Sam then looks down, sees the two halflings. Almost to himself, he says "Oh, look. Little people. Don't see too many of those around here."

OOC: Hmm... I guess speaking common is importent, huh =) I'm revising the sheet now. Thanks!

The blonde noble gives Sam a look of disbelief, as the half-orc answers the question.
"We are Seran a'Larat," he points to the blonde, "and Godo of Diarun, nobles from the coastal cities, and collectors of art, as the finer gentlemen might be aware." Godo's tone clearly indicates that he expects you to not be aware of that fact. "You have entered a back room of the Red Dragon Inn, in the city of Orussus, on Enworld. I suppose this information is of sufficient quality to tell you where you are."

Godo and Seran exchange a glance. Then Seran speaks up with his strange accent. "Ve vill wait for a few moments, zen ve vill tell yoo what ve want to hire yoo for. Eef anyone enters ze ruum later, it is yoor duty to inform zem of what zey missed."
