OOC: Thanks for NPCing Gorefoot, I've been absurdly busy, and I don't want to hold anything up.

Gorefoot, shocked that the ooze got past him and has managed to injure Percy, howls in rage and hammers on the creature with a mighty blow.

Attack (raging and power attack for 5), damage (1d20+7=27, 1d10+18=20)

OOC: If Gorefoot is still affected by Ridik's Bull's Strength, his damage goes up by 2 points. If the ooze can suffer a critical hit, he'll do more.

He'll continue to hammer on the ooze with full, raging power attack until it is dead.

Rodimus punches the puddle, hoping that he and the barbarian will be able to take it down before they too succumb to paralysation.

OoC: Unarmed Strike (1d20+7=20, 1d8+4=10)
5ft-step to flanking position if possible to Power Attack damage up. This is also probably one of those good times to make sure that the mage armor that Percy cast before is still active on Rodimus, giving him AC 20.

[Round 4, Cont]

Gorefoot slices the creature in half, bisecting the pseudopod. The water collapses flowing around Ridik and the others and disappearing into the floor.

[~end~]

Provided Gorefoot and Rodimus stand guard around the paralyzed forms of their companions they each revive slowly over the next several minutes. Most have survived the experience with little injury though Ridik is still looking a little drained.

[sblock=ooc]wow big hit! No crit, but that's enough to destroy it.

Damage Recap:
Ridik 30/34, 7 non-lethal dmg, fatigued
Nezrak 21/21, 3 non-lethal dmg
Nars 43/43, 3 non-lethal dmg
Percy 45/45, 3 non-lethal dmg
Gorefoot 54/54, 2 non-lethal dmg
Rodimus 32/44, 2 Str dmg, 3 Con dmg
Slithering Tracker 57dmg taken [/sblock]

"Oh, Gorefoot! Well done. You have become such a powerful warrior!" She gives the halfling a hug when she recovers. "That was good thinking to come around behind it Rodimus."

"In the future, we must be more careful about pools of water. There was another one in that other room, wasn't there?"

"Maybe this creature left some treasure in its lair. Let's look around."

Nars shakes his head to clear the cobwebs. "Thanks, er, guys," he says while turning a dark shade of red. Glad to have something to do, he follows Percy's direction and continues the search of the lair.

The group now up and moving continues to explore the rest of the cavern complex. Heading back into the big room (which Rodimus correctly guessed was where the other corridor was heading), the group sees another pool of water, though this one looks deeper as water continues to run down stone walls and pool at the base. This time they are able to move past the water without too much trouble. In the opposite end of the big cave the ceilings and walls narrow into another smaller corridor. This one narrows quite a bit as the group finds a drake nest. Or at least that is what they guess the small pile of loose vegetation sprinkled with coin and gems is. There is no evidence of eggs. Beyond the nest the corridor narrows even further as it heads back north becoming just a tiny hole from which the drakes could listen to the shrieking chamber.

[imager]http://www.enworld.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=29407&stc=1[/imager]Amongst the simple bedding that the pair of drakes used, the group manages to find many coins of various denominations, 3 small gems (1 red bloodstone, 1 green peridot, and 1 piece of topaz), In addition there is a heavy circular stone amulet with small runic vines around the outside of it. Also found is a heavy steel shield featuring a knight bending to heal an injured comrade, the shield looks a little battered but the gold embosing and red gems are all in good condition. And a little ways down the tight narrow corridor, the party finds a heavy mace featuring a bearded dwarven face on the pommel and a wooden haft. With that discovery the party has delved into every known nook and cranny in the cavern complex except what might be beyond the collapsed area Nars surveyed.
