ooc: sorry nothing in the loot tickled anyone's fancy. Hope the money and XP as well as the fun adventure were worth it. We can end here with the split of the money if you like.

OOC: The mask, scarab, and the amulet of natural armor are definitely items I like. That said, I believe Gorefoot might still be ahead on wealth due to his weapon, and Rodimus has expressed an interest in the amulet of natural armor. Gorefoot will need to purchase his restoration spell(s) (I don't know how expensive that will be). If he had money after that, he'd like to pick up the scarab for sure. If not, maybe he'll look into getting his armor enchanted.

IC: (this seemed like a good in character bit)
As the group splits up their wages, Nars hears Gorefoot mumble something about hoping to have money left over after being healed. Nars puts his hand on his friend's back and says, "Er, ah, healing comes out, ah, first, before splitting."

OOC: Nars would have been interested in the amulet of natural armor, but would not have said anything after Rodimus expressed interest. The mask scares the bejeezus out of him, and he'll just be glad to get it sold. Nars will take the potion of cure light wounds and two alchemist fires.

With so much of the loot being sold at market value, it makes it hard to keep much of it, but cool loot does not a great adventure make. I had a great time on this one with the traps and puzzles. I really liked the skeleton encounter where they all just stood there scaring Nars half to death.

I don't particularly like the D&D method of power growth through magic items. When was the last time you read an epic story where all the character's had magic cloak, boots, gloves, headband, weapon, armor, shield, bow ...? Usually it's closer to one, two, or three magic items. Oh well, I still like playing! :)

"Of course your healing comes before treasure distribution, Fondar. How could I have been so insensitive as to forget you were still hurt. We've been in Orussus before and shouldn't have much trouble finding a good cleric to heal you." says Percy.

OOC: OK. I didn't realize that the CON drain wouldn't heal by itself. I just looked it up. Gorefoot took 4 pts CON damage. Looks like we need a Restoration spell to do the job. This is a 4th level cleric spell. If we can find a 7th level cleric, it would then cost us 40 gps/caster level, so 280 gps. If so, that gives us the per person amount of 6691.59 gps. I hope you don't mind if I divy up the alchemist fires among the party. Percy bought them b/c we were meeting so many swarms. So far, this divides to

Percy - everburning torch, 1 alchemist fire, + 6626.59 gps
Ishmael - 1 alchemist fire + 6681.59 gps
Nars - potion of CLW, 2 alchemical fires + 6646.59
Rodimus - amulet of natural armor + 5691.59
Gorefoot - 1 alchemist fire + 6681.59 gps
Nezrak - arcane scroll & 6591.59 gps

I don't mean to jump the gun on the treasure division; I just want to get it done. I'm completely open to other suggestions.

I believe there is another adventure starting soon. It is designed for 4 3rd level PCs, as I recall, but I don't think there are any eligible ones of that level in the RDI. So if we hurry back, perhaps we can convince the DM to take our group instead & just scale up the enemy. Congratulations to Nars for making 6th level, too. He's now surpassed Rinaldo in rogue levels!

EDIT: actually, I don't think the XP awards are quite right. Erekose, it looks like you've taken our current XPs and given us a new total. I backed out Percy's award (2557 XPs) & posted it as such. But as I was looking at Nars (who hasn't leveled up yet), I noticed that Gorefoot has 10,178 on his sheet already, but is listed by you as much less 8000 something.

OOC: Thanks for the congratulations, but I'm not sure if Nars is taking a rogue level or a fighter level next. I'm strongly considering a level of fighter and taking improved shield bash + combat expertise. I've been pretty offense heavy in my decisions so far and that defense could use some shoring up. Either makes pretty good sense for roleplay. I've always envisioned Nars as a bit of a fighter type, and we've certainly done plenty of fighting during Nars career. I do hate to lose the skill points though, but he will still get 4 which is enough to max search and disable device. Decisions, decisions.

Hmm thats disconcerting. Yes I've reviewed my final XP rewards and they are incorrect. Appologies everyone, I was trying to post quickly before I left work for the Christmas holidays and didn't double check. I will need to review my document when I get back to work on Tuesday. As it is Nezrak's and Gorefoot's totals are way off (they lost about 2000xp each in the last post). The others might be off too. Let me check my sheet and figure out where I went wrong.

EDIT: Okay I've recalculated the appropriate XP for the last 4 months of the game. With 2 gricks (cr 3), 1 gibbering mouther (cr 5), syl'r (cr 5), king toth (cr 6), the badger (cr 3), wraith (cr 5), 7 puzzles (cr 2s *150%) we have new totals. In addition as per usual I have included the time in as well as an RP bonus.

Code:
Character	Start	XP	XP	XP	Total	Final
XP	Mar 9	Aug 9	Dec 22	XP	Level
Persephone	10785	2456	4491	3152	20884	6
Nars 6143	2327	3643	3278	15391	6
Nezrak 4060	1991	3443	3231	12725	5
Ishmael 11143	2376	4175	3042	20736	6
Rodimus 6343	2179	3796	3144	15462	6
Gorefoot	4475	2060	3643	3185	13363	5

I don't mean to jump the gun on the treasure division; I just want to get it done. I'm completely open to other suggestions.
OOC: As Nezrak doesn't have the money to buy the empower rod at full price, he'll just have to do with the scrolls and money. I suppose we can assume that he can pick up a few of the nonmagical arrows as well.

I know I spend a lot of the time away, and I'm sorry about that. It was a cool adventure in which Nezrak kinda took the silent NPC -role. :heh:

As for the XP-thing, my own notes show that Nezrak has got 5,434 XP from the adventure, and his total is 9,494. And I think that's from before the last batch as I've edited Nezrak's sheet at 11-07-06. I could have botched up something when I lost him in the crash though. Edit: Apparently solved.

Commercial: Nezrak has Craft Wondrous Item feat and if he gets to 5th level (Edit: He did.), he's going to pick up Craft Magic Arms and Armor. He'd be happy to enchant stuff that he's able to (he has money to learn new spells), maybe even with a small discount (5%?) from the market price. He'll also give additional discount for donated craft points. I have absolutely no idea of how to express that IC. :uhoh:

SlagMortar: I think Nars gave Nezrak a scroll of Enlarge Person at some point, and that never saw use. Does Nars want it back or want to sell it to Nezrak? Edit: Not that I can find the post now, might have been lost in the crash. :\

I'm glad that everyone enjoyed the adventure. I am pretty sure the cat got out of the bag a long time ago, but this was the Cooperative Dungeon 4 that members of Enworld wrote (I wrote the encounter with the gricks). Conaill wrote a couple as well, which is why he was around. He helped me adjust both the animated statue and the jackal encounter.

Xael, the scroll that Nezrak got is mentioned above in the treasure post, which Manzanita has indicated in his treasure split.

No one taking the map then? Don't forget that you can sell stuff through Rinaldo's shop for more than the regular 1/2 price.

OOC: I'm not sure if that scroll is the same one or not, but no matter. What's 25 gold between friends? :) Nars would be more than happy to have Nezrak craft him some equipment, and would donate craft points to the cause say for a 15% discount? I'll have to figure out how many craft points he has since I haven't been keeping track. I think he's in the market for some gloves of dex +2 and a cloak of resistance +1.

It would be a shame for the map to disappear into the black hole of Orussus pawn shops. Perhaps the group should sell it to Rinaldo? Nars can do it while the others go back to the Red Dragon.
Edit: It looks like Rinaldo's shop only has ~2600 gp at the moment and I doubt he wants to tie it all up in a map.

ooc: i'm up for a continuation based on the map, but not sure if i want to go with cooperative dungeon 2, we'll see. ...
[*]Teleport Map allows a user to study the map and use it with Teleport to jump straight to the location as if they were intimately acquainted with it...

OOC: OK. I let this slip. The map is worth 5000 gps, and the sages will pay only half price. Somehow, I thought this map was only for the dugeon we were just in, though now I don't see that anywhere. Erekose, are you saying you're up for DMing another adventure for this crew now? Or soon? If so, we'll definitely keep the map.

What are gricks? I'd be curious what encounter you contributed to the dungeon.

Thanks for the crafting offer, Xael. I might take you up on this. First, we need to finalize the amount everyone gets. Personally, I think all the stuff we are keeping is worth keeping, and need not be sold to Rinaldo's shop.

I'll go back & adjust Percy's XPs for the new award. Thanks, Erekose.

EDIT: XPs look good to me.
